Coaching Staff

Andy Lasher – Head Coach

Andy Lasher returns for his fourth season coaching the Bombers. He began in 2014 as an assistant coach before taking over the reigns as Head Coach in 2015.  Lasher led the Bombers to win the Ohio Valley League Season Championship and the Ohio Valley League Tourney Championship in 2015.     A Newburgh, IN native, Andy graduated from Castle High School.  He was an outfielder at Olney Central College in 2010 and 2011, and at the University of Evansville in 2012 and 2013.   Coach Lasher graduated with a degree in Business Administration and is currently coaching at Olney Central College.

Evan Mohr – Pitching Coach

Evan Mohr joins the Bombers coaching staff for the 2017 season.  Mohr is a native of Pendleton, IN.  He graduated from Lapel High School before heading to Olney Central College where he was a two-year starter on the mound.  Evan continued his education and playing career at Kentucky Wesleyan majoring in Exercise Science.

Bryce Paxson – Assistant Coach

Bryce Paxson, a Toulon, IL native and Stark County High School graduate, joins the Bombers for the 2017 season.  Paxton was a catcher at Olney Central College for 3 years and finished his playing career at Indiana State University.

Travis LaMar – Assistant Coach

Former Bomber Travis LaMar will be in a Bombers uniform for the first time since 2009 as he joins the Bombers staff as a Volunteer Assistant in 2017.  Evansville native and Harrison High School standout, LaMar spent two years on the mound at Olney Central College before finishing his eligibility at Wright State University.  He played all of his collegiate summers with the Dubois County Bombers (2007 – 2009) and after graduation played for the Lake Erie Crushers & the Evansville Otters.  Currently he is a teacher and coach at Caze Elementary in Evansville and is in his 7th season as a Volunteer Assistant with the Harrison H.S. baseball team.

John Schneider – General Manager

John Schneider joined the Bombers staff in 2015 as the General Manager.  Schneider graduated from Southridge High School in 1996 and from Indiana University in 2000.  He taught and coached at Lake Central High School and Merrillville High School in northern Indiana prior to being hired at Southridge High School in 2011.  Schneider teaches social studies and is an assistant football coach for the Raiders.

Wes Fink – Player Recruitment

After 2 years as head coach of the Bombers (2013-2014), Wes Fink now heads up the player recruitment efforts for the club.  Wes is familiar with many facets of Bomber life as he was a fan favorite as a player for the Bombers for 4 seasons (2006 – 2009).  He played collegiate ball at the University of Southern Indiana as shortstop and captained the USI team to the Division II National Championship in 2010.  When not talking baseball, Wes is an agent for Bankers Life and Casualty Company, with his office in Huntingburg.

Mark Peters – Player Recruitment

Mark Peters, in his fourth year of working with the Bombers, works with Wes Fink to recruit players to fill the Bomber roster.  Peters, a native of Huntingburg, has been connected to high school and college baseball for twenty years as both a coach and recruiter, sending players to many well known baseball schools.  He is the founder and current president of Ironmen Summer Baseball Club, serves on the national boards of fellowship of Christian Athletes Baseball, and the NuLife Ministry in Haiti.
