Your Dubois County Bombers will be playing the Louisville Stars (Retired MLB Stars) in the CHAMPIONSHIP GAME of the Bluegrass World Series at Louisville Slugger Field TODAY (Saturday, August 4th) at 6:00PM.  Some of the many retired MLB stars we’ve seen so far include Johnny Bench, Chipper Jones, David Ross, Nick Swisher, Johnny Damon, Doug Flynn, Jason Werth, JD Drew, Corky Miller, Ben Sheets, Rick Ankiel…to name a few.

Bombers Begin Play in Bluegrass World Series on July 31

The Dubois County Bombers will be playing in the upcoming first-ever Bluegrass World Series at Louisville Slugger Field which runs from July 30th – August 4th.  Also playing in the Series are the Louisville Stars, a team of former Major League Baseball players.  The Bombers are scheduled to play:

Tuesday, July 31st at 7:00 pm (eastern)

Thursday, August 2nd at 7:00 pm (eastern)

Friday, August 3rd at 3:30 pm  (eastern)

Hopefully, Saturday, August 4th

The Louisville Stars roster features a combined 62 MLB All-Star appearances, 20 World Series Championships, and two members of the National Baseball Hall of Fame! Players & managers include Johnny Bench, Chipper Jones, Tim Hudson, David Ross, Jayson Werth, Corky Miller, JD Drew, Roy Oswalt, Johnny Damon, Jonathan Papelbon, Joe Nathan, Brad Penny, Ben Sheets & more!

Individual day tickets begin at $10, depending on date & seat selection.  All-Session packages are available, beginning at $$49 depending on seat selection.

Bombers OVL Season Ends with 6-3 Loss to Dawgs

The 2018 OVL season came to a close for the Dubois County Bombers last night as they dropped a 6-3 hard-fought contest to the Owensboro RiverDawgs at League Stadium.

The Bombers closed the regular season with the second-best record in the 8-team league at 25-16, finishing second in the Eastern Division to Owensboro. Both teams advanced to the Division Playoff finals after defeating first-round foes, setting up a head-to-head between the league’s two best teams. [Read more…]
