Bombers Fall 6-3 on Wild West Night

The Dubois County Bombers were defeated by the Muhlenberg County Stallions 6-3 on Wild West Night at League Stadium.

Muhlenberg County opened the scoring in the top of the first with 2 runs. The Bombers scored one in the first, then tied the game in the third. The Stallions took a 4-2 lead in the top of the fifth, and the Bombers responded with a run in the sixth to cut the lead to 4-3.

The Bombers were looking to get back into the game, but hit a roadblock in the seventh. A 2 out, 2 RBI single in the top of the seventh made the score 6-3, and that score would hold. Dubois County ended the game with 3 runs, 9 hits and 1 error. Muhlenberg County ended the game with 6 runs, 9 hits and 3 errors. The Bombers record now sits at 17-7 on the year.

The Bombers look to rebound tonight as they travel across the Owensboro Bridge to face the RiverDawgs. It will be the fourth meeting between Dubois County and Owensboro, with DC taking the previous 3.

The Bombers next home game, however, is on July 4th when the OVL South Division-leading Full Count Rhythm come to League Stadium. There will be fireworks after the game, too!

By the way, Uncle Sam told me to tell all who read this that HE WANTS YOU to dress up in your red, white, and blue and show out for the game on July 4th. See you there!
