Bombers Hold Off Henderson, 3-2

The final regular season meeting between the Dubois County Bombers and Henderson Flash did not disappoint. Dubois County defeated the North Division-leading Henderson Flash 3-2 at League Stadium.

The game was scoreless until the bottom of the fifth. Bombers third baseman Mason Landers broke the tie when he singled to center field and drove in 2 runs. One batter later, Mason White hit another RBI single to make it 3-0 in favor of DC. The Bombers would not relinquish their 3-0 lead, holding on to win 3-2.

After Friday’s victory, the Bombers have a 25-16 record. Henderson does still, however, hold a 0.5 game lead in the division. Dubois County has 3 remaining games, 1 at home and 2 on the road. DC final 3 games are Madisonville, at Fulton, and at Muhlenberg.

DC’s final home game is tomorrow evening against the Madisonville Miners. These two clubs last played on July 21st, when the Miners won 8-3. Dubois County is 4-1 on the year against the Miners.

Tomorrow’s game against Madisonville is Fan Appreciation Night at League Stadium. The fans love the Bombers and the Bombers love the fans, so come show your support for the Bombers!
