Bombers Hold On for 7-6 Win Over Miners

The Dubois County Bombers held on to a 7-6 victory over Madisonville on Sunday.

Gavin Napier opened up scoring in the second inning with a solo homer.

The Miners evened things up at five in the bottom of the fourth inning.  But the Bombers took the lead for good with two runs in the sixth inning. 

Reece Kleinhelter was credited with the win for the Bombers. He lasted four innings, allowing four hits and one run while striking out two and walking zero. Tobe Whitten threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen, recording the last three outs to earn the save. 

The Bombers saw the ball well today, racking up 11 hits in the game. Napier, Tanner Craig, and Evan Kahre all had multiple hits. Napier led Dubois County Bombers with three hits in three at bats.

The Bombers return home to League Stadium on Tuesday after another road trip to Henderson tonight.
