Bombers Prevail 8-7 in See-Saw Battle with Stallions

The Dubois County Bombers & Muhlenberg County Stallions passed the lead back-and-forth on Wednesday at Muhlenberg County, but eventually, the Bombers prevailed 8-7. Down 7-6 in the top of the ninth inning, Tanner Craig homered on the first pitch of the at-bat, scoring two runs.

Dubois County fired up the offense in the second inning, when Brad Fuhrhop doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run. In the top of the eighth inning, the Bombers tied things up at six when an error scored two runs for Dubois County Bombers. The Stallions then scored three runs in the seventh inning. Ronnie Allen and Kyle O’Brien each drove in runs during the inning.

Koby Silvy was on the mound for Dubois County. He allowed five hits and three runs over five innings, striking out six. Kaelin Woodard led things off on the pitcher’s mound for the Stallions. He lasted six innings, allowing six hits and four runs while striking out five and walking zero.

The Bombers had 8 hits for the night. Craig and Nolan Ramsey each had multiple hits. Muhlenberg County had 9 hits on the night.

Traveling to Madisonville on Thursday, the Bombers then return home for a 3-night stand on Friday, Saturday & Sunday. It will be a great weekend at League Stadium as we start with Let’s Make A Bombers Deal Night on Friday as the Bombers host Henderson; Saturday has the XPogo Stunt Team coming in to perform while the Bombers take on Fulton at League Stadium; and Sunday closes the weekend with our Faith, Family & Father’s Day celebration while the Bombers battle Hoptown.
