Bombers Leap Over Hoppers in the 9th for a 7-6 Win

The promotion of the night was More For Your Money Monday. That was supposed to apply to the ticket and concession prices. The Dubois County Bombers and Hopkinsville Hoppers players decided to give the fans a little extra entertainment as well.

Bombers Get Their First 2015 Win!

One of the last signees for this year’s Bombers squad was Jasper’s Nick Gobert. There were more than a few smiles on the faces of local fans and team management when word came down that Nick was coming home again.

One of the themes of the Bombers first season win last night had a familiar ring. “Nick’s coming home again.” Gobert came to the plate four times. He reached base all four times on two singles and a pair of walks . . . and he came home every time, scoring half of the Bombers eight runs. [Read more…]

Big Crowd, Fun Home Opener Despite 9-3 Bombers Loss.

The Fulton Railroaders stormed into Huntingburg’s League Stadium last night, and spoiled the Bombers’ home opener by a score of 9-3.

Fulton starting pitcher Lee Haeberle scattered 3 hits in 7 innings of work before departing with a 5-1 lead.

The Railroaders opened the scoring in the 3rd. Hits by Colton Aldridge, Brad Baldwin, and John Anderson were interspersed with a pair of Bomber errors and two hit batters to produce 4 runs off of Bombers starter Lucas Barnett. [Read more…]
