2020 Season Cancelled

2020 Season Cancelled

The Dubois County Bombers organization sadly announces that the Ohio Valley League has cancelled the 2020 season due to COVID-19.

The statement from the OVL is as follows: 4/25/20 OHIO VALLEY LEAGUE PRESS RELEASE: The Ohio Valley League ownership group met this morning. After much discussion and exploring multiple options to try to play some version of a season this summer, the Ohio Valley League sadly announces the cancellation of the 2020 season. Concerns for everyone’s safety, limitations placed on us by multiple agencies, and the unpredictability of changing conditions led us to ultimately forfeit the 2020 season. We want to thank all our fans, sponsors, players, and staff for their past support. We look forward to roaring back for the 2021 season even stronger.
Respectfully, John M. Bruce, President

We were looking very forward to the 2020 season with an impressive slate of players coming in from as far as Hawaii and as near as next door. Please take the time to review our 2020 Roster. These players deserve their recognition as Bombers.

While we acknowledge that perhaps there is crying in baseball in 2020, the 2021 season will be our focus from now until that Opening Day. The Bombers will be back.

Stay well, friends. We will miss seeing everyone at League Stadium this summer.
