Coaching Staff

Travis LaMar – Head Coach

With ample Bombers & baseball experience on his resume,  Travis LaMar takes the helm as Head Coach in 2019.  LaMar joined the Bombers staff in 2017 as an Assistant Coach.  In 2018, he assumed the duties of Pitching Coach.   An Evansville native and Harrison High School standout, LaMar was drafted out of high school by the Baltimore Orioles in the 44th round.  Opting for college, he pitched for Olney Central College before finishing his eligibility at Wright State University.  He played all of his collegiate summers with the Dubois County Bombers (2007 – 2009).  Following graduation, he played for the Lake Erie Crushers & the Evansville Otters.  He previously assisted with the Harrison High School baseball team and is currently assisting with the Southridge baseball program.   Travis is a teacher and coach at Caze Elementary in Evansville.  He is married to the former Kate Oser and resides in Holland, IN.

Ethan Collins – Assistant Coach

Ethan Collins joins the Bombers coaching staff after previously being the head coach of the Newburgh American Legion baseball team.  An Evansville, IN native and  Harrison High School graduate, Collins was a catcher and infielder at Rend Lake College where he graduated in 2015.  Currently a teacher & coach at Harrison, Collins brings a wealth of knowledge to the Bombers and has an unrivaled passion for the game.

John Schneider – General Manager

John Schneider joined the Bombers staff in 2015 as the General Manager.  Schneider graduated from Southridge High School in 1996 and from Indiana University in 2000.  He taught and coached at Lake Central High School and Merrillville High School in northern Indiana prior to being hired at Southridge High School in 2011.  Schneider teaches social studies.

Wes Fink – Player Recruitment

After 2 years as head coach of the Bombers (2013-2014), Wes Fink is now part of our player recruitment team for the club.  Wes played for the Bombers for 4 seasons (2006 – 2009).  He played collegiate ball at the University of Southern Indiana as shortstop and captained the USI team to the Division II National Championship in 2010.  When not talking baseball, Wes is an agent for Bankers Life and Casualty Company, with his office in Huntingburg.

Mark Peters – Player Recruitment

Mark Peters is in his 5th year of being part of the player recruitment team for the Bombers.  Peters, a native of Huntingburg, has been connected to high school and college baseball for over twenty years as both a coach and recruiter, sending players to many well known baseball schools.  He is the founder and current president of Ironmen Summer Baseball Club, serves on the national boards of fellowship of Christian Athletes Baseball, and the NuLife Ministry in Haiti.
