Travis LaMar – Head Coach

With ample Bombers & baseball experience on his resume,  Travis LaMar took the helm as Head Coach in 2019.  LaMar joined the Bombers staff in 2017 as an Assistant Coach.  In 2018, he assumed the duties of Pitching Coach.   An Evansville native and Harrison High School standout, LaMar was drafted out of high school by the Baltimore Orioles in the 44th round.  Opting for college, he pitched for Olney Central College before finishing his eligibility at Wright State University.  He played all of his collegiate summers with the Dubois County Bombers (2007 – 2009).  Following graduation, he played for the Lake Erie Crushers & the Evansville Otters.  He previously assisted with the Harrison High School baseball team and is currently assisting with the Southridge baseball program.   Travis is a teacher and coach at Caze Elementary in Evansville.  

Willie Poe – Assistant Coach

Willie Poe returns for his second year as Assistant Coach for the Bombers.  No stranger to League Stadium and the Bombers, Poe was a member of the 2015 & 2017 teams and two OVL Championship seasons.  The Lexington, KY native and Bellarmine University graduate pitched for the Knights from 2014-2019 and was part of their GLVC Championship team. He spent his 2018 summer in the GLSCL with the Southern Ohio Copperheads. Since completing his playing career, he has coached at Iowa Wesleyan University, Indian Hills Community College, and Oakland City University.  Poe is currently the pitching coach at University of the Cumberlands.

Mark Peters – Player Recruitment

Mark Peters is in his 7th year of being part of the player recruitment team for the Bombers.  Peters, a native of Huntingburg, has been connected to high school and college baseball for over twenty years as both a coach and recruiter, sending players to many well known baseball schools.
