Bombers Shutout RiverDawgs on Thirsty Thursday

Bombers Shutout RiverDawgs on Thirsty Thursday

Thirsty Thursday never fails to entertain and that held true last night as Brayden Childress put on a show for the League Stadium faithful. Dubois County shutout Owensboro 3-0 last night.

Will Aubel opened the scoring in the bottom of the first for DC with a steal of home on a throw to second base. The Bombers made it 2-0 in the bottom of the fifth off a Simon Scherry RBI single and an epic slide into home by Will Aubel. Check it out below!

A throwing error in the bottom of the sixth gave Dubois County a 3-0 lead. While there were some great plays on the offensive side, the Bombers RHP Brayden Childress stole the show. Childress got out of multiple jams early in the game but was able to stifle the RiverDawgs’ offense. Childress pitched a complete game; giving up zero runs, 4 hits, and striking out 4. Have a night, #6.

The Bombers have now won two in a row. Going into tonight’s game, DC’s record now stands at 17-6.

Speaking of tonight’s game, Bombers look to cowboy up as they host the Muhlenberg County Stallions at League Stadium. The theme for the game is Wild Wild West Night, so saddle up and bring your cowpokes out to League Stadium!
