Frankel Deals in Bombers 1-0 Playoff Win Over Flash

The comeback Bombers came back to historic League Stadium last night for a deciding Game 3 against the Henderson Flash in the first round of the OVL playoffs. There would be no comebacks on this night. And that’s a good thing. Dubois County won 1-0 in a classic pitchers’ duel, advancing to the finals of the Eastern Division playoffs starting tomorrow night in Owensboro.

The Dubois County Bombers dropped a tense 5-4 contest in Henderson, Kentucky, setting the stage for tonight’s decisive game in their first-round series with the Henderson Flash.

Bombers Manage Another Comeback In 7-5 Playoff Win

In a season where comebacks were the rule, the Bombers opened the playoffs by returning to a familiar script last night, rallying for a hard-fought 7-5 victory over the Henderson Flash. The game was the first of a best-of-three series in the first round of the Ohio Valley League playoffs.

It was not a promising start, but then that is the way with comebacks. Henderson scored three unearned runs in the first inning. Bomber starting pitcher Jack Anderson deserved a better fate.
