Bombers Manage Another Comeback In 7-5 Playoff Win

Bombers Manage Another Comeback In 7-5 Playoff Win

In a season where comebacks were the rule, the Bombers opened the playoffs by returning to a familiar script last night, rallying for a hard-fought 7-5 victory over the Henderson Flash. The game was the first of a best-of-three series in the first round of the Ohio Valley League playoffs.

Serious Fun In Mixed Up Loss to Owensboro

Serious Fun In Mixed Up Loss to Owensboro

The RiverDawgs took the win last night 6-3 against the Bombers last night in a game that had no bearing on the playoff scenerio as Owensboro already earned the East Division Champions trophy.  Bombers were locked into the #2 spot.

That doesn’t mean they didn’t take it serious.  There was, obviously, some serious fun had during the game.  No one played their normal positions. Tobe pinch ran & led the way in stolen bases.  There may have been a hidden ball trick play.  Evan Hall led the Bombers with 2 hits.  That’s the kind of game it was.  Owensboro seemed to mix things up too.  Great way to end the regular season…loose & laughing.

Everyone gets back to business on Friday.  The Bombers will host Round 1 of the Playoffs against the Henderson Flash.  Come fill League Stadium & cheer on the Bombers during the Playoffs.   All tickets will be $5 general admission.  Season Ticket holders maintain their seats.
