Bombers Sparked by Anderson’s Pitching in 13-2 Win

The Dubois County Bombers celebrated Independence Day by exploding for a 13-2 victory over the division-leading Owensboro RiverDawgs. It was the sixth time this year the hard-hitting Bombers have scored in double digits.

Though the Bomber bats were shooting flares and bottle rockets all over spacious League Stadium, it was the dominant performance of starting pitcher Jack Anderson (Illinois St) that sparked the win. 15-inning Battle Ends in 8-7 Bombers Win

In a game that will not be soon forgotten by anyone present, the Dubois County Bombers and Henderson Flash stood toe-to-toe last night for fifteen innings, trading the lead six times. Though the game started at 7 PM on Friday, it was Saturday when John McDonald (Austin Peay) hammered a bases-loaded sacrifice fly to give the Bombers an 8-7 hardfought victory and send the home faithful into the wee hours of the morning with a memorable evening.
